GBLS is seeking to expand its list of on‑call interpreters and translators to support our legal teams and better serve the diverse communities of Greater Boston. We are especially in need of professionals who are available for in‑person interpretation services. Languages of Need Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Simplified Chinese, Amharic, Arabic, Moroccan Arabic, Khmer, Cantonese, Mandarin, Toisanese, Vietnamese, French, Dari, Pashto, Fulani, Luganda, and Spanish. Other languages are welcome to apply! Work Type In‑person interpretation (on‑call) Written document translation (as needed) Paid by invoice Standard Rates $50/hour for in‑person interpretation $55/hour for written translation Certified Interpreter Rates $65/hour for certified in‑person interpretation $70/hour for certified written translation To Qualify A certificate from an accredited academic institution Proof of court certification Note: Certifications from private language businesses or corporations do not qualify.
