Location: Based out of Elkton, MD

Position Summary

As a Matting Ground Hand, you'll play an important role in supporting field operations by assisting with the installation, removal, and maintenance of temporary ground protection systems. This is an entry-level position that offers hands-on experience working alongside experienced operators and field crews on a variety of exciting construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, removal, and maintenance of temporary ground protection mats.
• Work closely with equipment operators and field crews to safely complete projects.
• Load, unload, organize, and secure materials and equipment.
• Perform general labor duties to support daily operations.
• Conduct basic inspections and help maintain equipment and tools.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications

• Construction experience is preferred but not required.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and dependable attendance.
• Valid driver's license required.
  
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Requirements

• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel out of town when project demands require.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
