Position Summary

The Master Scheduler is responsible for owning the executable production schedule and maintaining backlog integrity for the Naples site. This role translates released demand into a realistic, capacity-aligned production plan, ensures schedule adherence, and provides early visibility to delivery risks.

The Master Scheduler serves as the central coordination point between Planning, Operations, Purchasing, and Customer Service to ensure material readiness, schedule stability, and strong on-time delivery performance. This role does not own demand forecasting or customer order entry, but is fully accountable for schedule feasibility and execution performance.

Key Responsibilities

Backlog Ownership & Health

• Own sales order backlog accuracy, visibility, and integrity
• Monitor past-due, at-risk, and aging orders
• Identify recurring push-outs and backlog trends
• Maintain clean, accurate schedule and order data within ERP

Master Production Scheduling

• Translate released demand into an executable production schedule
• Sequence and prioritize work orders based on due dates, capacity, and material availability
• Maintain schedule stability within defined frozen windows
• Balance workload across constrained resources

Capacity & Constraint Management

• Perform daily and weekly capacity vs. demand analysis
• Identify bottlenecks and constraint risks early
• Lead recovery planning during constrained periods
• Partner with Operations to ensure feasible execution plans

Execution Monitoring

• Track schedule adherence and production completion vs. plan
• Identify deviations and drive root cause understanding
• Reduce expedite activity through disciplined scheduling practices
• Support continuous improvement in schedule performance

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Communicate delivery risks proactively to Customer Service
• Partner with Buyers on material shortages impacting production
• Align with Planning on demand vs. capacity gaps
• Provide leadership visibility into backlog health and schedule risk

• Schedule Adherence (%)
• Backlog Health (% past due and aging distribution)
• Schedule Stability (reschedules within frozen window)
• On-Time Delivery (OTD)
• Expedite Rate
• Capacity Utilization vs. Plan

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in production scheduling or manufacturing planning
• Strong understanding of capacity planning and constraint-based scheduling
• ERP/MRP system experience required
• Proven ability to operate cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in regulated manufacturing (medical device or aerospace preferred)
• Lean manufacturing exposure
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• Experience driving scheduling or production planning improvements in a manufacturing environment
• Power BI experience preferred
