Job Title: Senior Embedded Software Engineer Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company Duration: 12 Months with possible extension Location: Urbandale, IA 50322 Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Work Arrangement: Onsite

Description Job Summary The Senior Engineer, Product – Embedded Software will design, develop, test, and implement embedded software solutions for HVC products. The role works across product teams and platforms, providing technical leadership and taking embedded software solutions through development, validation, and production.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and analyze embedded software solutions for product applications. Support the HVC product team and take software solutions through production implementation. Provide technical leadership and design solutions within a team environment. Support cross-platform software development and systems integration. Analyze engineering requirements and develop appropriate software and validation solutions. Develop and maintain technical and user documentation. Evaluate engineering work and ensure compliance with applicable specifications and requirements. Analyze engineering information and develop technical standards and specifications. Identify process/system gaps and recommend improvements. Support change management and small-to-medium engineering projects. Collaborate with internal teams, customers, partners, and cross-functional engineering organizations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing and product-development processes. Track project scope, risks, issues, schedules, and deliverables. Provide technical consultation and engineering expertise across the product line.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Strong experience in embedded software engineering and software development practices. Experience with cross-platform solutions and systems integration. Experience taking technical solutions from discovery through product development and production. Understanding of target systems such as HVC machines and tractors. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Experience working with customers, partners, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Technical Skills Experience with embedded software development and related tools such as: C / C++ Embedded C Lua MATLAB / Simulink QML for UI development Linux GitHub / Git JSON Protobuf Sensor handling and simulation methods Data analysis tools such as Operations Center

Preferred Skills Experience developing display and controller software. Experience with cross-platform communication and systems integration. Background or experience with farming/agricultural practices. Experience working with complex machine/vehicle systems. Strong project organization, planning, risk management, and reporting skills.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced embedded software engineer who can work across platforms and product teams, collaborate effectively with customers and engineering partners, and take software solutions from development through production. Strong hands-on experience with embedded C/C++, Linux, Lua, MATLAB/Simulink, QML, and related development tools is highly relevant.
