Behavioral Health Technician (Part-Time)

High Focus in Johns Creek is looking for a Full Time BHT.

Shift: Working 24 hours per week - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and hours will vary from 8:00am - 4:00pm to 10:00am - 6:00pm depending on the day.


Pay: $17/hr

Responsibilities:

A Behavioral Healthcare Technicians play a pivotal piece in this process by supporting the client and program in the following ways:

• Assist with intake process with new clients into program.
• Communicates with staff either verbally or in written communication logs, responsible for detail client logs. Listens to clients concerning all areas of treatment, maintains safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention.
• Coordinates activities including lectures, recreation, and meetings.
• Attends shift change, Team meetings and Company meetings.
• Ensures client schedule is being followed daily.
• Assisting with interventions with clients.
• Follows objectives of treatment plans.
• Transports clients as needed.
• Monitors treatment for necessary hygiene and medical needs.
• Upholds Therapeutic Boundaries and Staff Code of Ethics.
• Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides input.
• Helps with upkeep of facility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Requires: HS Diploma or equivalent
• Requires: A valid GA driver's license
• Requires CPI, and CPR/AED certification
• Preferred: 2 years in behavioral health treatment setting working mental health programs.
• Reasonable substitution of experience and education may be allowed in related mental health field.
• Experience working with both adolescents and adults preferred.
