Sonographer/Ultrasound TechnologistRAYUS Radiology is looking for a Sonographer to join our team. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide Sonography services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Sonography Imaging (90%)Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedureExplains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imagedPerforms routine and advanced Sonography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedureAdjusts sonography scan parameters correctly and as neededFollows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, to and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including sanitizing equipment, to promote good safety habits for patients and team membersMaintains the American College of Radiology (ACR) toolkit and accreditation requirementsSonography Department Support (5%)Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgradesMonitor medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessaryAssist with the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicableOther Duties As Assigned (5%)Completes other tasks and projects as assignedRequired:High school diploma, or equivalentGraduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited sonography program, or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)Registered American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) sonographer, current and in good standingSonography certification in imaging specialty (AB, BR, ObGyn, etc.)Licensed Sonographer in the appropriate state (if applicable)Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationMust have sufficient training and experience to perform sonography procedures independentlyPreferred :Certification in ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support)OSHA Class I exposure to Bloodborne PathogensBilingualRAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
