DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clinical Dietitian plays a key role in planning and carrying out nutritional care for Individuals with developmental disabilities at the Selinsgrove Center. The work requires strong judgment, careful organization, and a commitment to providing accurate and timely nutritional support. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will perform the following duties:

• Nutritional Assessments: Complete admission and annual assessments and respond to physician consults
• Care Recommendations: Provide guidance to physicians and teams regarding nutritional interventions and plans
• Record Management: Maintain accurate diet records, chart notes, and data in the nutritional management system
• Menu Oversight: Implement therapeutic menu changes, substitutions, and modifications to support dietary needs
• Staff Training: Deliver training and instructions to direct care and food service staff on diet requirements and updates
• Committee Participation: Take part in individual support plan (ISP) meetings, team meetings, and committees such as the Dysphagia Committee

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 1st shift (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:

• This position requires active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) as issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, or proof of eligibility for such certification.
