- TBD during the interview
- GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation may be required.
- Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
- Apply fluoride and protective sealants.
- Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
- Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease.
- Record and review patient medical histories.
- Uphold office policy including HIPAA & OSHA.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Order and keep track of inventory as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- The employee frequently is required to talk and hear; stand and/or sit for long periods of time; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to blood and blood-borne pathogens and/or physical risks, which will require OSHA training .
- Current, valid, and unrestricted NY license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
- DH State license
- X-Ray Cert.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school.
- One (1) year of hands-on experience as a hygienist.
- Certifications & Licensure: -Anesthesia
- GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation experience.(Some locations require GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy operational experience.)
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
