Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Oncology Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical Oncology Floor RN Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for general medical surgical patients, including oncology cases, in an acute care setting. The position requires a skilled RN to deliver quality patient care in alignment with hospital standards. Job Details Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS (American Heart Association); minimum of 2 years of experience required. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days and nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; at least 2 years of RN experience; BLS certification. Additional Responsibilities: administering chemotherapy and biotherapy, managing chest tubes such as PleurX, caring for oncology patients with complications, including neutropenic precautions and infections, and providing care for general med-surg patients including post-operative and occasional psych patients. Unit Notes: Capacity of 36 beds, nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6, with charge nurse coverage 24/7. Staffing: CNAs available on days and nights, RTs manage respiratory equipment like CPAP and BiPAP, unit utilizes EPIC charting system, and orientation includes multiple shifts with preceptor support. Other Clinical Requirements: RN must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips (Phillips monitors), and be comfortable with managing titratable and set-rate drips, specifically Heparin. Shift and scheduling details include self-scheduling, with rotations every 4-6 weeks, and every-other-weekend shifts required. Holiday coverage is incorporated into the rotation. Float Requirements: Staff may float to other medical-surgical units if necessary.
