This position is responsible for safely operating equipment within the plant.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel culturePerform a documented pre-operation inspection of all hydraulic systems, controls, and brakes before operations before operating.Operate equipment at safe speeds and within manufacture recommendations and design limitationsWork in a team environmentClean work areasProper wear of personal protective equipmentNotify supervisors of repairs neededAssist in plant maintenance and repairsPerform duties with minimum supervisionQualificationsRequired Education and Experience:High school diploma, GED or equivalent1+ years of related experienceValid US driver's licenseSkills:Ability to work with minimal supervisionKnowledge of MSHA regulationsEffective verbal communicationKnowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenancePhysical AbilitiesAbility to work in an outdoor environment year-roundGeneral physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling materialAdditional InformationIn addition to the primary responsibilities outlined, the successful candidate may be expected to take on other tasks and assignments as required, including but not limited to duties outside the typical scope of the role to support overall team operations and organizational needs.
