Opportunity RN - MedSurg Job Details 12-hour variable shifts 36 guaranteed hours per week Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required Occasional floating to other departments to assist with tasks such as vital checks (will not take patient load) May float to other locations including Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade Travelers may be placed on call during low census hours with a maximum of 36 unbillable low census hours per contract If called back to facility, call back pay applies with a minimum of 2 hours 20-bed unit with typical census of 8-10 patients; ICU and Med Surg are a shared unit with 3 ICU beds Nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:4-5 on Days/Evenings and 1:6-7 on Evenings/Nights Minimum 2+ years of experience required; ED or ICU experience very helpful Must be able to read telemetry strips Required certifications: WI or compact RN license, ARC or AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS Epic charting experience preferred Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred Scrubs must be clean and work appropriate; any color or style is acceptable Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius Facility This is a 25-bed critical access hospital offering both Medical Surgical and ICU care within a shared unit environment. The facility provides a collaborative and supportive setting where nursing staff may assist across departments as needed.
