Field Support Specialist

ACTION is seeking a highly skilled Field Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide on-site technical support, service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for our customers’ equipment. When not working in the field or preparing for travel, you will support production operations as a fitter/fabricator, helping manufacture new equipment. This position is ideal for someone with strong fabrication experience who enjoys problem-solving and working directly with customers in dynamic industrial environments. What You'll Do Conduct service, installation, repair, and testing of ACTION equipment at various industrial sites Travel frequently throughout the U.S. and internationally Diagnose and perform root cause analysis on equipment issues Execute repairs within scope and coordinate external vendor/contractor support when needed Follow all ACTION and customer safety procedures and protocols Collaborate with engineering, production, technical sales, and product support teams Create accurate trip notes, service reports, and record photo/video documentation Build and maintain strong customer relationships Identify opportunities for equipment or parts sales and refer them to the sales team Perform fitter/fabricator duties in the production shop when not in the field Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager What We're Looking For Experience in fabrication/fitting within an industrial equipment manufacturing environment Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with computers and the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and the ability to obtain a passport for international travel Preferred Qualifications Experience building and/or servicing industrial equipment Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment issues Why ACTION?
