This is an evergreen posting. We accept applications on an ongoing basis, primarily for the 2027–2028 school year, and there may not be a current vacancy. We would rather know great teachers before we need them. When a classroom opens, we hire from candidates already in conversation with us.

Schedule & Compensation

Two-Day (one cohort: Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday)

●      8:00 AM–3:15 PM on classroom days

●      $20,200–$28,880 annually (half-time on the CLP scale)

Four-Day (both cohorts)

●      8:00 AM–3:15 PM, Monday–Thursday

●      $40,400–$57,760 annually

Arma Dei publishes its salary scale. Placement is set by years of experience in classical Christian education and degree level.

About the Position

The CLP is a different kind of classroom. In the spirit of Deuteronomy 6, our teachers co-labor with parents: students learn with you on campus two days a week and continue that same learning at home with their parent-teachers the other three. You teach the class; you also equip the parents who carry your lessons home.

CLP families are classically minded Christian homeschoolers who chose this partnership on purpose. You will teach Bible, science, history, geography, composition, literature, math, Latin, and character formation to students in kindergarten through eighth grade, alongside our CLP Dean and a close-knit faculty.

Key Responsibilities

●      Integrate biblical truth across every subject

●      Teach with classical pedagogy: mimetic and Socratic teaching, poetry, chants, jingles, and song

●      Give parent co-teachers a clear, sequential program of instruction for the home days

●      Keep pacing, grading, behavior systems, and projects aligned with the CLP Dean

●      Keep an ordered classroom and train students in character, manners, organization, and peacemaking

●      Communicate regularly with parents, giving an accurate picture of each student's performance, ability, and character

●      Work with the CLP Dean, Academic Support Specialist, and parents on struggling students, including home interventions

●      Administer benchmark assessments as assigned (literacy in grades 1–2, math in grades 3–8, twice a year)

●      Keep Canvas gradebooks and course pages current

●      Share in supervision duties and events such as Parent Equipping, Recitation Night, and Parent-Teacher Conferences

Qualifications

Required

●      Bachelor's degree or higher

●      A spiritually vibrant Christian who affirms Arma Dei's Statement of Faith and integrates faith and work with humility

●      Loves the subject matter, the students, and the toil of the day

●      Enjoys equipping adults as well as teaching children; excellent written and oral communication

●      Self-aware, hungry to learn, and open to growth in classical Christian pedagogy

Preferred

●      Classical Christian education experience

●      Homeschool or hybrid-school experience, as a teacher or parent

●      Experience at your preferred grade level

2.    Our partners at PuzzleHR confirm faith alignment and review your application, then schedule a phone screen.

3.    Qualified candidates are introduced to Arma Dei and may be invited to teach a sample lesson.

4.    Finalists meet with the Head of School.
