Safety And Occupational Health Specialist
What You'll Be Doing Day To Day:
- Participate on standing and ad-hoc committees (or equivalent) to assess, evaluate, measure, and control or eliminate unsafe conditions or hazards.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on safety methods, standards, and procedures to eliminate or control a broad range of unsafe acts or conditions in a variety of work environments.
- Train and instruct others on a variety of specialized safety and health subjects using a variety of tools and adapting various tools to fit special and unique training requirements.
- Prepare guides and instructions for programs and activities having various safety risk levels.
- Prepare and update guides, standards, instructions, operating procedures and/or policies, reports, and other substantive documentation for high-risk activities.
- Perform site visits and/or inspect off-site facilities to ensure compliance.
- Respond to accidents, exposures, and other emergencies.
