Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift in Vermont

Location: Vermont's Northeast Kingdom

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 7pm - 7am, three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.

Job Description: Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a beautiful rural community and be at the forefront of coordinating exceptional patient care. You will primarily care for adult patients with occasional pediatric cases, providing comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care in a dynamic general Med/Surg unit. Your expertise will be crucial in utilizing an innovative Nursing Process to drive critical decisions while fostering holistic patient care that addresses age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate exceptional patient care for diverse patient populations.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make critical decisions regarding patient care.
• Work closely with the Unit Director and Nursing Supervisor to promote a supportive work environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• At least 3 years of acute care experience; Meditech experience preferred.
• Current Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure.
• BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certification required.
• Familiarity with critical care practices is a plus.
