Registered Nurse - Acute Care Department- CasualOnamia, MN, USA40.36-65.02 per hourHourlyCasualUnder the direction of, and in collaboration with unit management, performs responsibilities exercising initiative, judgment, and independent decision-making within the scope of the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policy and other governing organizations. Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) in a systematic approach to the direct and indirect care of patients and their families.The essential functions of this job are identified with an asterisk (*) at the end of the bullet point.Provide quality care in multiple settings: Pediatrics, Medical, Surgical (inpatient/outpatient), Emergency, Senior Care, Nursery, Chemotherapy and Ambulance Transport as needed/delegated*.Maintains certifications in all areas within scope of practice*.Supervision of LPNs, Nursing Assistants and Health Unit Coordinators as needed*.Effectively utilize nursing process: Demonstrates effective interviewing and assessment skills and integrates new or current techniques to obtain physical/psycho-social information from the patient/family to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care through the nursing process. Initiates and maintains patient care plan to reflect current patient needs utilizing computerized documentation*.Customer Service: Respects the privacy and dignity of every customer, internal or external. Is courteous and friendly, uses a quiet, respectful tone of voice when speaking with customers.
