Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing prescription medication, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. This role plays a vital part in ensuring safe and efficient pharmacy operations.
Requirements:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy system.
- Measure, count, and label medications according to prescription orders.
- Maintain proper storage and security of drugs.
- Communicate with insurance providers for billing and authorization.
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally.
- Manage inventory, restock shelves, and check for expired medications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Comply with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
