Board-Certified Behavior Analyst - District Wide Job ID: 3155 Position type: Special Services/Behavioral Analyst Posted: 4/8/2026 Location: District Wide Position Overview Provide consistent expertise in behavioral management for special education students, consult with teachers on student behavior, and assist in developing a systematic approach to behavioral interventions. Key Responsibilities Provide behavioral consultation for students in grades 5-8, including those in the day treatment program and other special education settings. Provide Safety Care Training to identified staff. Collect progress‑monitoring data on behavioral goals, participate in the Response to Intervention process, conduct functional behavioral assessments associated with IEPs, and write reports summarizing results. Assist in developing positive behavior support plans using evidence‑based interventions. Assess students’ instructional needs and develop appropriate programming; train staff on positive behavior support plans and monitor fidelity. Continuously monitor student data and adjust programming as needed for the special education population. Consult with regular education, special education, and specialty services to develop guidelines for managing student behavior. Co‑teach/model social‑skills instruction. Qualifications Current license as Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst or completed all coursework and eligibility to take the license exam. Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field. Knowledge and experience developing evidence‑based programming for students with low‑incidence disabilities. Experience developing and implementing behavioral interventions and behavior plans. Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis. Legal Requirements All employees of Maine schools must be fingerprinted for a criminal history background check.
