Correction Enterprise Supervisor II - Food Production

Overview Correction Enterprise Division Supervisor II (S) provides first or second‑level supervision of inmates engaged in skilled production or service work within state facilities. Responsibilities Direct, train, counsel, evaluate, discipline, and monitor inmates performing production or service work. Oversee all aspects of the production or service process, make technical decisions, and perform complex work. Plan and direct work under an established schedule, review and evaluate work, and set daily or weekly priorities and goals. Adjust schedules to accommodate new priorities and provide input into changes to workflow, methods, and procedures. Ensure production maintains approved FDA required standards. Patrol the plant and supervise production operations, ensuring care, custody and control of inmates in accordance with department policies and procedures. Supervise inmates away from the prison facility for specific job assignments; supervisors on these assignments are typically not armed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Minimum of two years of related industry or service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to obtain any required plant‑specific certifications (e.g., Agricultural, Cannery, Laundry, Braille). Knowledge of North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission requirements for certification. Salary and Benefits Salary Range: $39,244.00 – $68,679.00.
