Speech Therapist (Incentivized)

Speech Therapy Weekend Incentivized Pool

Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing structured treatment of patients. Provides group and/or individual programs to a variety of diagnoses and presenting symptoms.

Essential duties include collecting/interpreting diagnostic data, demonstrating proficiency in patient assessment, supervising patient treatment activities, initiating patient care activities, ensuring accurate patient charges, completing program specialist competency, completing annual competencies, completing accurate documentation, demonstrating willingness and competency to be cross-trained, assisting with orientation of new staff, and performing other functions as assigned.

Qualifications include completion of an accredited school of Speech Pathology, a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or licensed Speech Therapist, current Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist license and certificate of Clinical Competence or conditional licensure, attention to detail, minimum of one clinical rotation in a Rehabilitation Services setting, valid driver's license, and proof of auto liability insurance for HomeCare.

Promotes patient and employee safety by demonstrating safe patient handling, safe materials handling, appropriate knowledge of Infectious Disease precautions and use of proper protective equipment, Slips/Trips and Falls Awareness, and actively contributing to maintaining a safe, clean, and quiet environment.

Working conditions and physical requirements include the ability to lift, move, ambulate, or maneuver patients, observe, hear, analyze, and interpret patient responses, read, write, and explain moderately complex information, deal with aggressive patients, rotate shifts and regular days off, travel to other floors, hospital locations, campuses, and drive to other locations, walk on uneven terrain, drive automobile, and travel to multiple sites.
