Custom Seafoods Processors, Inc. has been processing sport-caught fish and wild game on the Kenai Peninsula for 30 years. Within our 12,000 square foot facility, we can handle the influx of sport-caught fish as well as process a variety of fish species to serve the wholesale market simultaneously. We are looking for driven, highly motivated individuals to join our team and help us continue to be the preferred seafood processor on the peninsula. Job Summary: Retail Clerk positions are available and will be responsible for assisting our guests with finalizing arrangements for their orders and purchasing gift shop items. This position is ideal for individuals who love to interact with guests, are customer-focused, and love to upsell. The primary duties of this job will be customer-facing and include understanding our products, invoicing, and cash register sales. Skills required: Strong people and communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, strong basic math abilities,s and the ability to multitask. Ability to lift 60 pounds. Starting Pay: $15.00 - $17.00, depending on experience. This position does not provide relocation or housing! Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties & Responsibilities: Greet and interact with customers. Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences. Answer customer questions regarding orders and in-store merchandise. Assist customers with orders and purchase decisions. Collect payments using the store's point-of-sale system. Process returns and exchanges. Answer phones and check messages related to front counter duties. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities: Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills. Excellent sales and customer service skills. Strong mathematical skills. Ability to anticipate customers’ needs. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to operate or quickly learn the store's point-of-sale system. Education & Experience: On-the-job training provided. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift and move up to 60 pounds. Flexibility Required.
