School Speech and Language Pathologist | Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

A school district in Mechanicsburg, PA, is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position offers a valuable opportunity to support elementary students with autism and make a meaningful impact on their academic and social success.


Work Schedule & Location:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• Hours: 8:10 AM - 3:40 PM
• Contract duration: ASAP start through June 4, 2026
• Location: Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for a caseload of 34 elementary-aged students on the autism spectrum
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' communication needs
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support student goals and promote inclusive learning environments
• Manage documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines
• Facilitate social communication skills to help students thrive academically and socially

Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum in a school setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of speech and language development, therapy techniques, and educational support strategies
• Excellent communication, organization, and team collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a full caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality services
