Job Summary The role of a certified specialist/peer educator provides support to patients from those who have lived experience with mental illness. They offer an insider perspective and resources to support patients' individualized recovery processes. The peer specialist will collaborate with the care team and patients. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma required. Currently certified as a peer specialist. At least 1 year of work experience providing peer support to individuals with mental illness. Lived experience with mental health treatment services. Graduate of a recognized peer specialist training program. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and electronic health records. Preferred Qualifications 2 or more years of work experience providing peer support to individuals with mental illness. Work Days Monday - Friday, Days and Evening hours.
