We'll rely on you to ensure that our client's financial operations and controls meet standards and are error-free. We assist our clients in navigating complex accounting matters arising from regulatory or strategic business changes, with the implementation of new accounting standards, and provide on-call accounting advice. Our people deliver the best in class advice and build long-lasting relationships.Examples of the DutiesConsulting on complex accounting transactionsEnsuring quality work is performed timely and in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirementsEngaging client stakeholders, including audit committees and client management to identify, assess, and deliver timely and accurate adviceIdentifying regulatory and market trends that are applicable to clients and becoming a trusted advisorActively participating in business development and cultivating relationships to strengthen both yourself and the firmPerform other duties as assigned by Seniors, Supervisors, Managers, or PartnersQualifications & CharacteristicsBachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred, or actively seeking CPA credential1+ years of public accounting experience preferred, including but not limited to financial statement audits, assurance and advisory services, or corporate accounting/finance experience with a focus on complex accounting transactionsStrong technical skills and a deep understanding of at least one or two specific industriesStrong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, technical writing and research skillsLeadership skills and ability to motivate others in face of tight deadlines or complex situations requiring on the spot thinkingDevelopmental skills to train and mentor team membersOther Things We Think You Should Know About the PositionThis position is open to remote candidates across the U.S.; however, preference will be given to applicants residing in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin due to proximity for occasional in-person meetings, team collaboration, or client engagementsHours are normally Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CSTWho We Are At ChristiansonAt Christianson, we're more than just your local accounting and consulting firm.
