What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional, you will:

• Provide daily support to adults living in residential homes.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, hygiene, and mobility when needed.
• Help individuals develop daily living skills and maintain independence.
• Prepare meals and assist with nutrition according to individual care plans.
• Support participation in community outings, appointments, shopping, and recreational activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
• Administer medications after certification and according to agency policies.
• Follow individualized support and behavioral plans.
• Complete daily documentation using agency systems.
• Communicate effectively with team members, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Provide safe transportation to appointments and community activities using agency vehicles.
• Participate in required trainings and team meetings.

Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or working with individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required. We are happy to train motivated candidates.

Certifications

The following certifications are required during employment and may be provided through company training:

• Medication Administration Certification
• CPR
• First Aid
• Physical Management Techniques (PMT), where applicable

Physical Requirements

This position requires assisting individuals with mobility and daily activities, which may include lifting, transferring, standing, walking, and providing physical support. Mechanical lifting equipment and team assistance are used when appropriate.

Schedule

First Shift

• Full-Time: Approximately 3436 hours per week
• Part-Time: Approximately 1224 hours per week
• Includes weekday and weekend availability
• Overtime opportunities available
