Substitute Nurse

Description All Saints Catholic School is seeking a caring, dependable, and highly qualified Substitute School Nurse to provide nursing services and health support to students and staff when the school nurse is absent or additional coverage is needed. The Substitute School Nurse will promote the health, safety, and well-being of students by providing appropriate nursing care, responding to illness and injury, administering medications in accordance with school policies and applicable regulations, maintaining accurate health records, communicating with families when appropriate, and collaborating with school personnel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound clinical judgment, professionalism, compassion, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a school environment. Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current, unrestricted RN license issued by the Virginia Board of Nursing. Virginia also recognizes qualifying multistate RN privileges through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Ability to successfully complete the school's required background screening and employment requirements.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable student privacy requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, families, teachers, administrators, and other school personnel.
