Site Safety Coordinator

Yonkers Contracting Company is seeking a qualified Site Safety Coordinator with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Safety is a Shared Responsibility and Yonkers Contracting Company has an opportunity for a Site Safety Coordinator to join our team! Responsibilities Effectively implement site-specific safety program Monitor employees & subcontractors’ adherence to the site-specific safety & health plan Conduct site-safety orientation for all employees assigned to the site Conduct and/or coordinate worker training, maintain training records Hazard anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control through the development of JHA’s Ensure proper use of personal safety protective equipment Conduct daily safety inspection and weekly Safety Toolbox Talks Investigate and report all accidents Maintain all safety related documentation Perform audits: inspect project site(s), MPT set-up, and site equipment, ensure compliance documentation Provide technical guidance and coaching Support project specific safety efforts and promote Yonkers Contracting Safety First culture Qualifications Site Safety Coordinator Certification

OSHA 30

Preferred Certifications - Roadway Safety, Excavation, Confined Space & Utility 3-5 years of construction safety experience Or equivalent combination of education and experience Thorough knowledge of state/government safety regulations Experience with MPT Set-up in accordance with MUTCD and Work Zone Safety Computer Skills are essential – Word and Excel Must have valid driver’s license (will require authorization for a motor vehicle report) Ability to take direction, prioritize, execute, and problem solve in a high-pressure environment; must be highly organized and work effectively within given time constraints Demonstrate effective communication skills, capable of supporting multiple projects, interpersonal skills.
