Quality Control Field SpecialistThe Quality Control Field Specialist is responsible for overseeing and continuously improving quality standards across warehouse and field installation operations. This role owns quality control programs, inspection frameworks, reporting, and corrective action processes to ensure all installations meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety requirements. The QC Field Specialist partners with Operations, Installation, and Sales leadership to reduce rework, improve installer performance, and drive consistent customer outcomes.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOwn and maintain quality control standards, inspection protocols, and documentation requirements across warehouse and field operations.Conduct and oversee field and warehouse inspections; analyze findings, identify trends, and determine corrective actions to prevent repeat issues.Lead non-conformance management, including root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and follow-up validation.Partner with Installation and Quality Control leadership to improve material handling, job readiness, and installation execution quality.Evaluate installer and crew performance using inspection data; provide structured feedback, recommendations, and retraining guidance.Develop and support quality-focused training initiatives for installers and installation partners, including onboarding and ongoing skill development.Monitor and report on quality metrics, rework rates, service trends, and compliance outcomes; present insights to leadership.Ensure quality procedures align with safety standards and company policies; identify risks and escalate systemic issues proactively.Required EducationAssociate's degree or Vocational Education.Required Years of Experience2–4 years of installation and/or quality control experience.An additional 2 years if experience can offset education.Additional Requirements:Valid driver's license.Must be able to conduct job site inspections as needed, including roofs.Strong analytical and documentation skills.Proficiency with CRM, inspection tools, and reporting systems.Ability to exercise independent judgment and influence outcomes without direct supervision.Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications:Experience with quality programs in field-based or installation environments.Knowledge of OSHA and safety compliance standards.Ability to interpret installation scopes, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.Experience identifying systemic process gaps and recommending improvements.Strong communication skills to influence installers, peers, and leadership.Travel Requirements:Up to 50% US and/or Canadian travel required.Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements:Additional and non-standard hours may be required (exempt).Physical Requirements:Standing Frequently (34-66%)Walking Frequently (34-66%)Sitting Frequently (34-66%)Driving a car/van/truck Frequently (34-66%)Reaching with hands and arms (up, down, or outward) Frequently (34-66%)Typing Occasionally (11-33%)Using hands to touch/manipulate/handle Frequently (34-66%)Climbing and/or balancing Frequently (34-66%)Working at heights Frequently (34-66%)Stooping, kneeling, or crouching Frequently (34-66%)Talking and/or listening Constantly (67-100%)Using foot controls Occasionally (11-33%)Twisting of the body Occasionally (11-33%)Twisting of the wrist/arm Occasionally (11-33%)Lifting < 10 pounds Frequently (34-66%)Lifting between 10 to 25 pounds Frequently (34-66%)Lifting between 25 to 50 pounds Occasionally (11-33%)Lifting between 50 to 75 pounds Occasionally (11-33%)Lifting over 75 pounds Rarely (1-10%)Exposure to extreme heat or cold Occasionally (11-33%)Exposure to loud noise Rarely (1-10%)Disclaimer: This job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive list of duties, functions, and/or responsibilities of this position.
