Distribution Supervisor

POSITION OVERVIEW The Distribution Supervisor supervises the activities of shippers and receivers and other assigned personnel through training, explaining policies and procedures, assigning and checking work, and ensuring adherence to safety, housekeeping, the company rules and regulations. This position conducts performance evaluations of subordinates in accordance with established procedures, resolving more serious personnel problems with Human Resources involvement. Primary Responsibilities Ensures proper use, inspection, and maintenance of all shipping forklifts and the yard truck, making sure that all trucks are loaded properly and loads are within prescribed weight limitations Handle various aspects of export shipments Supervises the preparation of and generates bills of lading and other traffic paperwork, maintaining records of all shipments and tracing shipments as required, maintaining the desired shipment for finished products Assists in handling claims against carriers Maintains checks on compliance with prescribed shipping procedures Maintains proper inventory of packaging supplies for shipments Education Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent Minimum Experience Required Two (2) years of related experience License(s) and/or Certification(s) Required n/a Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Supervisory skills Strong communication skills Computer Equipment and Software Requirements Microsoft Office Suite EEO is the Law #J-18808-Ljbffr RadNet, Inc.
