Job Details Job Location: Golden Valley, MN 55427Salary Range: $30.00 - $33.00 HourlyJoin our growing team at Schmitty & Sons! We’re seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Student Transportation Specialist to join our team at our Golden Valley, MNfacility. This full-time position is crucial in supporting the day-to-day operations of our school transportation services. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00am - 7:00pm Job Responsibilities Ensure smooth and timely daily check-in and dispatch of school bus routes Monitor radio communications and coordinate with drivers in real-time Respond to service issues including late buses, breakdowns, and emergencies Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, accidents, and vehicle service issues Assist with route planning, GPS monitoring, and communication of detours or changes Serve as the front-line contact for inbound parent, school, and internal communications via phone and email Support drivers and school staff with timely, effective, and friendly communication What We’re Looking For Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) Organized and detail-focused with a proactive, can-do attitude Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure Other Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently Strong, positive team player with the ability to also work independently Must obtain (within 90 days of hire) a Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements and pass a valid DOT physical (training provided) Why Work With Us?
