This position will be part of Stantec’s Environmental Services team that provides the full range of expertise needed to address a variety of permitting and approval requirements. Our staff members have established excellent working relationships with public agencies throughout the mid-Atlantic, and our regulatory knowledge and scientific expertise allow us to help our clients develop the most effective approach to securing approvals.Your Key ResponsibilitiesComplete desktop reviews of projects to determine environmental constraintsDraft summary memorandum detailing the results of the desktop reviewDevelop submittals for agency required permitting tasksCoordinate permitting for railroad and utility crossingsCommunicate (written and orally) and collaborate with the project team to provide task updates and ensure consistency in project executionYour Capabilities and CredentialsAbility to work well in a team environment as well as independently and take initiative.Proficient with MS Office suite (specifically Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.Ability to learn and adapt to multiple tasks and processes quickly in a dynamic environment.Excellent technical writing.Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.Support and ensure implementation of Stantec’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines in the execution of all work and coordinate with HSE professionals during the execution of all phases of project planning and implementationEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field0-3 Years ExperienceStrong background in regulatory review and permitting preferredThis description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave.
