Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with level of practice.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given accurately and thoroughly.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources.
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license.
• Current certification in AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• Current ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
• Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery or a related perinatal nursing specialty.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Completion of a Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a perinatal setting preferred.
