Quality Inspector

Our client, a leading precision manufacturing company , is looking to hire a Quality Inspector in East Aurora, NY . Pay Rate Range: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM Responsibilities: Inspect precision-machined components at inspection and production stations to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements. Perform first-piece inspections and verify product conformity. Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) on manufactured products. Perform random inspections and quality audits throughout the manufacturing floor. Utilize precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, comparators, vision systems, dial gauges, pin gauges, and precision gauge blocks. Verify dimensions, concentricity, squareness, parallelism, surface finish, and overall product quality. Perform visual inspections using microscopes to identify burrs, surface defects, and finish issues. Accurately document inspection results and non-conformances in written and electronic formats. Collaborate with machine operators and production personnel to identify and resolve quality issues. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping requirements. Support continuous improvement and maintain a strong commitment to quality and on-time production. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or team leads. Requirements: Minimum of two (2) years of quality inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Working knowledge of GD&T principles. Experience performing first-piece and First Article Inspections (FAI). Proficiency using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment. Basic computer skills for inspection documentation and reporting. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic. Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is preferred. Knowledge of CMM programming and PC-DMIS software is preferred. Experience inspecting CNC-machined components made from stainless steel, titanium, and other exotic metals is preferred.
