Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a high-acuity COVID ICU offering advanced interventions such as VV ECMO, requiring an active TX or compact RN license and 2+ years of ICU experience.

Details

• Work in a 14-bed ICU unit specializing in high-acuity COVID patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Rotating shift schedule of 7A-7:30P or 7P-7:30A with rotating weekends
• Scheduled for 3 shifts per week including every other weekend
• No call requirements
• Floating required as needed per facility policy
• Uses ECMO NxtSTG and CRRT NxtStg equipment
• Charting completed in Meditech

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact license required (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Comfortable managing vasoactive drips and strong understanding of hemodynamics
• Experience with ECMO and CRRT (NxtStg) preferred
• Meditech documentation experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to high-acuity ICU and COVID patients
• Perform and assist with procedures including ECMO, CRRT, chest tube insertions, and central line insertions
• Unit offers advanced technology including VV ECMO interventions
• Navy scrub top and pant required, with navy or white scrub jacket
• Professional appearance standards include natural hair color/style, trimmed facial hair, covered tattoos, and no visible piercings other than ears
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
