Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Medical Director to lead clinical operations at a well-established veterinary practice specializing in exotic animal care. This leadership role is ideal for a skilled veterinarian with a strong background in exotic species medicine who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care while guiding a collaborative medical team. The position involves overseeing medical standards, supporting team development, and providing treatment for a diverse range of species in a modern, fully equipped facility. This opportunity offers strong earning potential, leadership responsibility, and an excellent work-life balance with no weekend or after-hours commitments.

Core Responsibilities

Lead and oversee medical operations with support from an experienced leadership team
Provide comprehensive care for a wide variety of exotic species, including birds, reptiles, and small mammals
Maintain high clinical standards and ensure quality patient care
Support and mentor veterinary staff while fostering a positive clinic culture
Collaborate with team members to enhance clinical processes and service delivery
Contribute to a supportive and engaging work environment

Required Qualifications

Licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in California or eligibility to obtain licensure
Minimum 5 years of veterinary experience, including exotic animal medicine
Strong leadership capabilities and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Commitment to clinical excellence and patient care

Compensation & Benefits
