Travel RN - Cath Lab/EPAmerican TravelerKansas City, Missouri, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: 2026-11-09$2,933.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with 2 years of recent specialty experience and required on-call availability including weekends.DetailsWork in the Cath Lab/Interventional Cardiology/Hybrid OR/EP unit of a hospitalAverage daily census of 4 procedures per lab with 16 visits per dayPatient ratios of 1:4 during days and 1:3 during nightsDay shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMOn-call required, including weekendsRegular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as neededUses EPIC charting systemRequirementsActive RN license, Missouri or compact in hand required at time of considerationBoth Kansas and Missouri licenses, or compact, required due to potential floating needsCurrent certifications: BLS and ACLSMinimum 2 years of recent specialty experience required, including a full year within the past 12 months with no employment gaps greater than 90 daysPrevious charge nurse experience requiredTeaching hospital experience preferredExtensive cath lab procedural skills required, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, PCI, TAVR, Watchman procedure, pacemaker insertion, and rotablator atherectomySkilled in hemodynamic monitoring including right/left heart catheterization and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoringProficient in procedural sedation administration and monitoring, along with related medications (antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, vasopressors, thrombolytics, reversal agents)Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) and sheath removal/monitoringCompetent in EKG/ECG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and ventilator managementIV therapy skills including central line assistance, PICC line care, and blood product administrationEPIC charting experience requiredAdditional InformationProvide direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization proceduresCirculate and scrub for cath lab and EP procedures as neededMonitor patients receiving procedural sedation and manage emergency medications as neededScrubs provided by facilityFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyMust reside outside a 75-mile radius to be eligible; no local candidates acceptedMaximum RTO of 7 days permittedFormer BJC/Saint Luke's employees must wait 18 months with a 3-month break in service to return as a traveler, and permanent employees must wait 1 yearTravel partners are not accepted for this position
