Dietary Aide Position

Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Dietary Aide to join our outstanding team! $15.50 - $17.00 /hour

The Dietary Aide at Southern Utah Veterans Home assists in the preparation and serving of meals to residents, ensuring a clean and sanitary dining environment. This role supports the dietary department by following established guidelines and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to prescribed menus and dietary restrictions.
• Set up dining areas and ensure cleanliness before, during, and after meal service.
• Deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
• Assist residents with eating as needed, providing support and encouragement.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas following health and safety regulations.
• Stock and replenish food and supplies as directed.
• Report any resident concerns or dietary issues to supervisory staff.
• Follow all infection control and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or healthcare setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to adhere to all safety and sanitation standards.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced kitchen and dining environment within a long-term care facility. The Dietary Aide will interact regularly with residents, staff, and visitors, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.
