Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1930 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of travel experience is preferred.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a South Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - South Atlantic Division.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Ability to care for 6 telemetry patients, including post-cardiac procedure patients: PCI, PPM, ICD, or ablations. - Proficient in reading telemetry strips. - Plans of care every shift, discharge planning, and patient education.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - 30 months RN or LPN nursing experience preferred. - Phlebotomy preferred. - Administering breathing treatments outside the ICU, including inhalers and nebulizers, preferred. - Foley catheter care and maintenance with nurse-driven protocols for removal preferred. - Post-Cath Lab patient experience preferred. - Management of cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amio, Nitro, Dobutamine) preferred.

Unit Details: - Uses i-mobile phones for each care team member, mobile computer workstations on wheels, mobilab lab drawers, and Alaris IV pumps.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers are first to float and may be sent to the emergency department to care for inpatient holds, the telemetry monitoring room, or PCU.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
