Ignite Potential Through Communication in the Vibrant Charms of Richmond – Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us
Imagine a career where every vocalization you nurture ignites purpose and possibility. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the picturesque city of Richmond, your impact will transcend the treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. Each day, you will help individuals unlock their unique voices, reconstruct confidence, and enhance connections — from young children discovering their first expressions to elders reclaiming their narratives.
This position offers a rare chance to work across diverse age groups in a flexible environment that incorporates outpatient therapies along with occasional inpatient responsibilities. Whether your passion lies in pediatric language advancement, adult cognitive communication challenges, or the complexities of geriatric rehabilitation, you'll discover both fulfillment and adaptability within our team.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients within pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational methods.
Formulate individualized treatment strategies tailored to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
Deliver therapeutic interventions focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, vocal expression, and swallowing functions, in one-on-one settings.
Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to devise integrated care approaches.
Educate patients and their families to facilitate continued progress outside therapeutic sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to maintain a seamless continuum of care.
Ensure meticulous documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Stay abreast of developments in the field through ongoing education and peer collaborations.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized academic institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days post-employment.
Adept in evidence-based practices suitable for all ages, with a profound understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing conditions.
Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
Capability to tailor therapy methodologies to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Solid clinical judgment coupled with effective problem-solving competencies.
Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and complying with documentation standards.
Competitive salary aligned with your experience.
Flexible working hours promoting a harmonious work-life balance along with diverse caseloads.
Potential to specialize in various fields such as pediatrics, adult neuro-rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday compensation.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
Support for continuing education and professional growth.
A collaborative environment prioritizing quality care and continuous learning.
In this role, you won't simply provide speech therapy; you'll integrate into a mission-driven community dedicated to restoring voices, enhancing communication, and fostering joy through the simplest yet profound human interactions: understanding and being understood.
Here, you will work alongside colleagues who treat each other as family, in an environment rooted in collaboration rather than competition. Each patient brings a unique narrative; we believe in your ability to contribute to how their story unfolds.
Richmond offers a delightful blend of historical allure and modern livability that invites exploration and leisure. Amidst the city's vibrant streets and scenic waterfronts, you'll find a community brimming with life, creativity, and charm — an ideal backdrop for both personal and professional growth.
Stroll through lush parks, indulge in the culinary scene that ranges from cozy local diners to exquisite gourmet eateries, or engage with the thriving arts community that brings vibrancy to every corner. Whether you're looking to immerse yourself in the outdoors with biking along the scenic James River or enjoying local festivals that celebrate the spirit of the city, Richmond has something special for everyone.

If you're a passionate clinician eager to find your place within a supportive and growth-oriented environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist who is not only skilled but also fueled by compassion. A professional who perceives potential in every child held back by silence, who hears the unsteady speech of a recovering individual and envisions determination and hope.
Whether you're a pediatric specialist wishing to explore adult therapy or someone with a neuro-focused background aiming to integrate early intervention practices, we want you to share your journey with us.
If you're ready to impact lives wholeheartedly and lead with your expertise, we are excited to welcome you aboard.
Join us in a community that champions communication, connection, and the bravery to begin anew. Apply today to lend your voice to our team and assist others in discovering theirs.
