Senior Manager Clinical Informatics - Hybrid

Overview As a member of the Providence St. Joseph Health Clinical Informatics management team, the Sr. Manager, Regional Clinical Informatics is responsible in collaboration with the Directors and Medical Informatics for collaborative implementation, support, and on-going optimization of clinical informatics, Caring Reliably framework, IS strategy and other organizational commitments. The role partners with clinical transformation and with GVPs Clinical Nursing Informatics, CI Regional Directors, ministry Nurse Executives and other clinical and physician leaders. It manages staff performance in informatics initiatives with emphasis on information technology and services to support nursing and interdisciplinary care partners in practice, clinical applications, clinical/administrative decision-making, research, quality improvement initiatives, education, and resource management. The incumbent combines knowledge of patient care, informatics concepts, and change management to represent information and knowledge needs of healthcare professionals and patients and to promote safe, effective, and efficient use of information technology in clinical settings. Scope may include acute, ambulatory, and post-acute care settings in designated areas of service. The Sr. Manager works across functions with peers to ensure collaboration for shared goals and partners with senior management on strategy development and execution planning. Responsibilities Provide leadership and management of regional clinical informatics initiatives in alignment with organizational strategy and clinical transformation efforts. Collaborate with Directors, Medical Informatics, Nursing Informatics, and clinical and physician leaders to implement, support, and optimize clinical informatics, Caring Reliably framework, and information systems. Oversee staff performance, development, and resource management for informatics initiatives across practice, clinical applications, decision-making, research, and quality improvement. Promote safe, effective, and efficient use of information technology in clinical settings through change management and stakeholder engagement. Coordinate across functions to achieve shared goals and participate in strategy development and execution planning with senior management. Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor\'s/Master\'s in Informatics, Health Care Administration, Public Administration, or related healthcare field. 8 years related experience. 6 years leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications Master\'s Degree in Nursing; or degree in process. Or Bachelor\'s/Master\'s in Informatics, Health Care Administration, Public Administration, or related healthcare field. Certification in Informatics upon hire. Epic Certification in one or more applications upon hire. Informatics certifications or credentialing (may be equivalent for up to 2 years of experience).
