Occasionally requires management support to handle difficult issues.WHAT YOU GET TO DOActs as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.Understands customer requirements relating to problems to products and equipment.Services customer equipment, where applicable, to maintain optimum performance of equipment, packaging films and shrink bag materials.Identifies machinery and packaging film/shrink bag problems and ensures that they are properly communicated to the appropriate staff representatives.Maintains accurate and timely reports on work activities and time utilization.Performs and completes package/shrink bag and machine audits on packaging machines.Participates in field trials of new packaging materials.Assists in the installation and start-up of all packaging equipment manufactured and sold by Amcor.Provides input, as requested, into the design, installation and start-up of packaging equipment manufactured by outside suppliers or RE&D.Responsible for scheduling own time and travel and determining priority of customer calls.Conducts training for the customers on proper operation and maintenance of equipment and Amcor film.Assists on projects and may take the lead on smaller tasks within an overall project.Works on special projects as assigned.Establishes and maintains effective relations with customers, sales personnel and internal Amcor staff personnel.Completes KMS reporting within 5 days, completes expense reports within a month of business trip and turns in weekly schedules within designated time frame.WHAT WE VALUECustomer Orientation – demonstrated concern for satisfying one’s external and/or internal customersBuilding Collaborative Relationships – the ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside or outside of the organization who can provide information, assistance and support.Initiative – identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked to or required by the situationTechnical Expertise – depth of knowledge and skill in a technical areaResults Orientation – continuously delivers and executes on tasks in order to ensure compliance within established guidelinesAttention to Communication – ensuring that information is passed on to others who should be kept informed; both oral and written communication is clear and conciseWHAT WE WANT FROM YOUEducation: Technical DegreeExperience: 3-5 years experience in food packaging industry (material & machinery)Willing to travel 60% or more and holds a valid driver’s licenseGreat verbal and written communication skillsOur ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
