Product Demonstrator Part Time

Description The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of the products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down products, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers and demonstrating products in a professional manner, and maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with the job requirements. This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company may change the role based on business needs. Responsibilities Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented. Have the desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner. Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product. Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives. Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the job requirements. Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution. Achieve 100% execution on assigned work. Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections. Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives. Complete expense reports as per company policy. Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution. Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms. Qualifications Education/Experience High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills Proficient in using and navigating personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required. Physical Demands Stand and walk during the shift; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms (up to 65 inches); talk and hear; read instructions; stoop; kneel; squat; climb or step up ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product; prepare foods and beverages using required appliances such as cooking utensils, knives, convection oven, coffee maker, electric fryer, microwaves; be in contact with cleaning supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Work Environment Retail store environment with limited travel. Physical Appearance Professional appearance and proper grooming; neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance; specific retailer dress code requirements included in training documents. Language Skills English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
