Assistant Machine Operator

Position Title: Assistant Machine Operator Wage: $18.75/hour Shift: 3rd Hours: 8:00pm-6:00am Sunday-Thursday We are looking for a motivated and reliable Machine Operator Assistant to support the manufacturing operations for a company in Fort Atkinson, WI. This is an excellent potential to hire opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, thrive in a team environment, and are eager to learn advanced machine operation skills within a fast-paced production setting. Assistant Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing standards - Learn and assist with machine start-up, shut-down, emergency stop (E-Stop), ergonomic practices, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures - Read, understand, and accurately follow electronic and written work orders - Perform production tasks according to standard work instructions and training requirements - Inspect finished products using blueprints, measuring tools, and quality standards - Identify and report defective materials, equipment concerns, or production issues to supervisors - Meet or exceed production and efficiency goals while maintaining quality standards - Participate in and support 5S workplace organization practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) - Complete production tasks according to manufacturing schedules with guidance from team leaders and supervisors - Accurately complete production records, quality documentation, and report data - Utilize the ERP system to log into assigned work centers, start and stop production orders, and record acceptable and scrap quantities - Report maintenance concerns and equipment issues promptly - Support other departments and work areas as production needs change - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity - Maintain excellent attendance and flexibility, including overtime when required - Consistently demonstrate safe work habits and a positive team-oriented attitude Assistant Machine Operator Requirements: - Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience is preferred - Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality standards - Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety - Dependable with a strong work ethic and excellent attendance record - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with employees at all levels - Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and production techniques - Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8-10 hour shifts - Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling - Ability to frequently lift and move up to 30 pounds - Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds - Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery and varying production demands QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
