Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with prospective students and families, providing information about academic programs and campus life, and conducting campus presentations or information sessions. The role involves managing a recruitment territory, attending college fairs and high school visits, and maintaining accurate records of outreach and applicant interactions. The Admissions Counselor collaborates with colleagues to develop enrollment strategies, supports campus events, and represents Eureka College in a professional and inclusive manner. Qualifications Strong Interpersonal Communication and general Communication skills for engaging with prospective students, families, and school counselors. Customer Service skills to provide responsive, supportive, and inclusive guidance throughout the admissions process. Sales-related skills to effectively present Eureka College’s programs, benefits, and opportunities to diverse audiences. Education-focused skills and experience, such as knowledge of college admissions, student development, or counseling. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment. Comfort with public speaking, presentations, and representing the institution at external events. Proficiency with common office software and admissions-related systems; willingness to learn new technologies. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Counseling, or a related field preferred.
