Hotel Sales Director

We're searching for a director of sales who is motivated to help our busy hotel meet its sales targets. You will be in charge of developing our sales strategy and revenue objectives, training and assessing our sales employees, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business across various hotel sectors. Apply now if you want to advance your sales career in the hospitality industry!Compensation:$55,000 - $65,000Responsibilities:Establish strategies to assist the sales team in meeting and exceeding monthly room booking goals that are aligned with overall hotel and revenue management objectivesEvaluate information gathered from market data and create a plan to meet design marketing deliverables, hotel financial goals, and create an annual sales forecastCoordination with the management team and department heads in designing and implementing sales strategies to achieve high occupancy and profitabilityReport on sales activities for the previous and future weeks in meetings with department leaders, and prepare a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expendituresBoost revenue and increase new guest visits through strategic outbound sales efforts that may include phone solicitation to local professionals, corporations, and members of your personal networkQualifications:Exemplary communication skills, leadership skills, and analytical skillsKnowledge of computer-based software such as Microsoft Word and ExcelMust have a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related fieldWe prefer someone with prior hospitality experience but is not required5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality field, is requiredAbout CompanyWelcome to the Holiday Inn Kansas City Downtown!We are nestled between the River Market and the Central Business District of Kansas City, right down the street from the KC Street Car.The Holiday Inn Kansas City Downtown is a short 2-minute drive from the Charles B.
