Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire an Exotics Focused Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. For thirty years, this small animal and exotics hospital has been serving South Miami, providing high-quality veterinary care for birds, cats, dogs, pocket pets, rabbits, reptiles, and ZooMED species. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established hospital with a strong focus on exotic animal medicine while working alongside a collaborative and experienced team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, with a primary focus on the care of exotic patients. You will provide preventative, medical, and surgical care, managing a varied exotics caseload while performing routine wellness examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, developing treatment plans, and delivering preventative healthcare tailored to each species. You will also work closely with clients to provide education and guidance, helping to promote the long-term health and wellbeing of their pets while maintaining a high standard of patient care and client service. Specific working hours will be discussed further. Applications are welcomed from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with the practice seeking a DVM who has a particular focus on exotic animal medicine.

Practice Details
The practice provides the full scope of General Practice services alongside Advanced Dental Care, Orthopedics, and Laser Surgery, offering a varied caseload across both companion animals and exotic species. The hospital is equipped with, but not limited to, Digital X-Ray, an In-House Laboratory, a Tonopen, and Ultrasound, supporting advanced diagnostics and patient care. Facilities include a 7,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art hospital featuring a full surgical suite, an in-office surgical suite, an in-house pharmacy, incubators and monitoring systems tailored to the unique needs of exotic animals, and an area exclusively dedicated to exotic pets with its own separate entrance, waiting area, and examination rooms designed specifically for exotic species. In addition to its clinical services, the practice also provides Cold Laser Therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, pet boarding, and DNA breed testing, allowing it to deliver comprehensive care across a wide range of species. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays.

You will be joining a team of 6 DVMs, supported by a passionate and highly experienced team of certified technicians, veterinary assistants, and client service representatives. Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
