Respiratory Therapist

Compensation Hiring Range: $27.90 - $61.79 per hour. Final offer may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Sign‑on bonus $5,000 to $10,000 available; details discussed in recruitment process. Major Responsibilities Demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Appropriately documents all care activity performed and charges in the hospital EMR system. Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities. Demonstrates competency in utilization and maintenance of arterial blood gas machines. Demonstrates competency in proper setup and utilization of all mechanical ventilators. Demonstrates competency in proper setup and utilization of the V60 NIPPV. Demonstrates competency in proper setup and utilization of all High Flow Oxygen Therapy systems. Demonstrates competency in the disinfection, transport and setup of all non‑disposable equipment. Adheres to the Hospitals’ Standards of Behavior. Completes all hospital and department annual competencies. Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives. Attends meetings, conferences and seminars as required or directed. Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations. Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements. Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance. Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed. Position Qualifications All responsibilities are essential job functions. License, Certification, Education Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care. Licensed in the state of Massachusetts in respiratory care. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers (BLSHP). Maintains CEUs in accordance with the regulation of licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
