Responsibilities The Patient Access Representative is the first line of quality service to our patients and our guests. This position serves as the ambassador of service, setting the standard by which all other departments and services are judged. Greets customers and subsequently provides the highest level of customer service possible. Timely and accurate registrations, complete benefit verifications, patient education (regarding benefits) and appropriate authorizations for services are the responsibility of the Patient Access Representative. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION High school diploma or GED.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

Previous Business Office related experience of 1 to 5 years.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

None.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGEAND ABILITIES

Excellent interpersonal skills required. Knowledge of medical terminology, excellent phone etiquette. Typing 35 words per minute.
