Assistant Safety Director

Assistant Safety DirectorWhat You’ll DoSupport and help lead safety operations across multiple heavy civil projects Travel regularly to jobsites throughout the Western U.S. to support field teams and safety initiatives Partner closely with operations leadership, superintendents, and project teams to proactively drive safe work practices Conduct jobsite audits, inspections, incident investigations, and safety coaching Help develop and implement company safety programs, procedures, and training initiatives Mentor and support field safety professionals and project leadership teams Assist with OSHA compliance, documentation, reporting, and corrective action follow-through Promote a culture where safety is viewed as an operational advantage — not just a requirement What We’re Looking ForStrong safety leadership experience within heavy civil construction Experience supporting projects such as roadway, structural concrete, excavation, utilities, bridges, or water/wastewater Ability and willingness to travel frequently to active jobsites Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust in the field and with leadership teams Working knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices CHST/OSHA 500/510 or related certifications requiredSomeone who is proactive, field-focused, and passionate about developing strong teams and safe projectsWe are an equal opportunity employer: We do not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, genetic information, marital status, military status, membership or activity in a local human rights commission, or status with regard to public assistance, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. #LI-DJ1
