Additionally, this role will support competitive club Sporting City in its social media and digital efforts.Job DescriptionEssential FunctionsAssist the Youth Sports Marketing Manager in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for youth programs, including camps, clinics, seasonal tournaments, leagues, and Sporting City.Capture photo and video content at youth soccer camps, leagues, tournaments, events, and other activities for use across social media, email, website, and other marketing channels for Sporting Kansas City Youth Soccer and Sporting City.Help create engaging marketing materials, such as flyers, social media graphics, and email newsletters.Manage social media content related to youth programs, including scheduling posts and interacting with the community.Support the organization of promotional events and outreach activities to increase participation in youth programs.Collaborate with the marketing team to analyze campaign performance metrics and provide insights for improvement.Assist with the maintenance of youth soccer websites, ensuring information is up-to-date and engaging.Availability year-round.Personal AttributesStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage competing deadlines, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced professional sports environment.Self-motivated, results-driven, and committed to achieving individual and organizational goals.Confident, professional, and persuasive, with the ability to build relationships and influence others.Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to the changing demands of the sports industry.Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.Approachable, collaborative, and diplomatic when working with colleagues, clients, and external partners.Maintains a professional demeanor and represents the organization positively in all interactions.Energetic, enthusiastic, and creative, with a passion for sports and delivering exceptional results.Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate across departments to support organizational success.Skills and ExperienceCurrently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, Digital Media, Journalism or a related field.Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.Professional experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) is preferred.Experience creating graphics for social media using graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud & Slate) is preferred.Experience with photography, videography and photo/video editing is strongly preferred.Experience shooting with DSLR or mirrorless cameras is preferred.Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro or similar photo/video editing software is preferred.Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.Passion for soccer and youth sports development.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Prior experience with a sports team or in youth sports is not required, but experience with youth sports landscape is preferred.Reliable transportation required.Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write in the English language to engage with fans, guests, partners, and other Sporting Kansas City associates.Work Environment and ScheduleAvailability for home matches, selected events, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required as business needs dictate. Travel may be required. Work occurs in office, stadium, and event settings, including outdoors.
